This past Saturday (June 19th, 2021) Sundown in the Ferry touched down in our beloved area, offering up its first annual summer concert series! But, there was something else it provided as well: normalcy. Smiling faces and beaming sunshine, combined with just enough shade, enveloped 126 Park Lane in Sneads Ferry from 6-9pm, offering: live music, food trucks, local vendors, and a beer garden.
To say that Sundown in the Ferry had a great turnout is an understatement.
Everything I LOVED about Sundown in the Ferry:
Admission is free.
The parking was handled very well, by smiling men who greeted you with directions on how to easily navigate to a space.
The following food trucks were around the circumference of the spacious event:
- Bakers Rise
- The Cheesesteak Hussle
- Hawaiian Kine Shave Ice
- A & M’s Red Food Truck
- My Taste of Carribean
The layout of all the local vendors was grocery aisle style, where you can interact on both sides and get to know business owners, realtors, and more. They even had a vendor selling grown up gummies, which were so delicious by the way! (I may have had an entire bag, wink wink!) From homemade crafts to local churches and gyms, there was something for every one!

Live music was in the middle with plentiful seating. The musical artist of the night was Da Howlies.
The beer garden was positioned at the back for adults only, where you had to present ID, purchase a ticket and then help yourself to a refreshing beverage.
I think it’s so important to note that everyone I came in contact with was having so much fun, so excited to be there, and SO proud of the team that put it on, especially my friends:
- Nicole Schmidt, owner of The Crooked Lotus in Sneads Ferry
- Jill Schiefelbein

Did you miss it?!
