12. Lily Pulitzer Dupe – Pappagallo Women’s Half Zip Pullover (Leah)
Are you a Lilly Pulitzer fanatic? Do you giggle with GLEE at her legendary, fun and exotic prints that stand out in the crowd? If so, you’ll love these half zip pullovers! I have 2 different colors and they are GORGEOUS!
Pros:
- Fraction of the price
- Everyone assumes this is LP!
- Great quality-they wash well and keep their color!
- Light enough for summer, cool enough for fall!
GET ONE! Or two….I’m about to add the red and black one to my entourage!

11. Pullover Cowl Neck Casual Tunic Top (Rachel)
This is a combo sweater/sweatshirt that I lived in last Winter! I ordered the wine color, but as you can see it’s definitely red. It has a longer length to it (although I’m short), and is soft, cozy and lightweight (but not super thin).
I’ve considered getting the black and/or gray, but I’m also super curious what colors they actually arrive as! It’s on my Prime Day list.

10. Andrew Lessman Energy & Fat Metabolism Capsules (Leah)
The Claim: Promotes Optimum Metabolic Activity. Safely Enhances Energy Levels & Fat Burning Metabolism. Promotes Feelings of Well-Being. No Additives.
I’ve been successfully taking this dietary supplement for years! I know, I know, I’ve always erred on the side of caution when it came to supplements too, especially ones that provide energy and weight loss benefits, but I’ve learned that as long as I implement this the correct way, it’s such a huge benefit!
These easy-to-swallow capsules are an “Amazon’s Choice” pick because they don’t contain any “deceptive or harmful ingredients.” WHAT’S in it?
- B-complex vitamins
- Chromium
- Carnitine
- Lysine
- Vitamin C
- Green tea & guarana- mild natural sources of caffeine
- Panax ginseng, Eleutherococcus, Ashwagandha
(*All of these ingredients are explained in explicit detail within the Amazon link*)
SO HOW DO I IMPLEMENT THEM?
- I take these before I work out, no matter what. Although they are not a pre-workout, they do provide an energy boost and I figured out it worked best if I used them in that capacity so that I had some outlet to use the energy. When I know I’m not going to work out, say Sunday, I omit them. I found that sometimes if I take them without working out, It can cause anxiety. That differs from person to person so you won’t know until you try. I’ve recommended them to several friends and they’ve had no issues, so use them as you see fit.
- I only take one, but you can take up to two.
- When I take these and combine them with regular exercise and a healthy diet, I successfully and consistently lose weight.
- I exercise 5-6 days a week whether I take these or not, so for me the challenge is always my diet. However, I find that when I’m active and I take these, it helps me focus on making healthier daily choices.

9. NiceEbag Clear Travel Bag 3pcs Set (Rachel)
Even though airplane travel is down significantly right now, I couldn’t leave these bags off of my Amazon favorite buys list. I’ve used them for both domestic and international travel; in a carry on suitcase and checked baggage.
When I went looking for a clear toiletry bag, I was only looking for one… however I’m thankful it was a 3 piece set. First of all, they store flat but expand to be able to put way more than I thought I could in them. Plus, this rose gold color is so pretty!

They clean out super easily (which is something I often look for when I’m reading reviews). Plus on the several occasions where I’ve had liquids spilled in them, the liquid was contained to just the bag and didn’t leak into the rest of my suitcase (although the product description claims it is not leak proof).

Having multiple bags has also helped packing in advance for various trips. And last year when I was traveling back and forth to the hospital at UNC, their clear material came in super handy for things other than liquids. I’m not someone who is good at living out of a suitcase, so being able to see what was in the bags right away was helpful for that stressful time.
I should note, though, that it says TSA Approved… and there have been many reviews that said it is not. Being TSA Pre-check, I haven’t had an issue with the bag in my carry on, but I can’t say whether or not that would work in the main TSA screening area.
There is a 4 piece set that is a few dollars cheaper, https://amzn.to/36uNQJm, but I was really partial to the rose gold color over the black – which would work perfectly for men though!

8. Orgain Organic Plant Based Protein Powder (Leah)
We’ve all been there: trying to find a protein powder that tastes good and is good for you to drink! I recently took a step back from traditional whey powders due to them having ingredients like sucralose and maltodextrin that I no longer wanted in my diet. My husband tried Orgain a year ago and we’ve been sold ever since. Featuring clean, organic ingredients such as:
- Pea protein
- Brown rice protein
- Chia seed
Again, ALL the ingredients are organic and the chocolate flavor is delicious! If you’re looking for a healthier alternative to your protein powder, I urge you to give it a try!
How we drink it: 1 cup of almond milk, 1-2 scoops of powder, frozen banana, MCT oil (Nature’s Way Organic MCT Oil), crushed ice, and BLEND!

7. Lighted Mirror & ottoman (Rachel)
The best lighting in my house is in my kitchen. I have 4 windows, on 3 walls, and the light is amazing. Unfortunately the rest of my house isn’t as well lit as the kitchen. And being a photographer, I’m a terrible lighting snob… so for years I was sitting at my kitchen table to apply my makeup.
But then COVID arrived, and I found myself doing all kinds of house projects. After painting my bedroom, I rearranged the furniture, and pulled in an old desk that had been in the living room (the dog loved to lay underneath it). And I ordered this lighted vanity mirror from Amazon … along with this stool.

The mirror comes with a magnification mirror, but I actually already had a lighted version of that as well, so I haven’t used it. There are 15 LED lights, which have three color modes, and you can increase / decrease the brightness level. I prefer the color of light that represents daylight! It’s been super easy to use, just plug it in!
I looked around for a stool quite a bit, but am so glad I went with this linen upholstered storage ottoman! It’s comfortable, looks great, and has storage. What else could you possibly need?? Oh, but I made sure to order & apply Scotchgard as I have two dogs that I’m always cleaning up after! It has worked out fabulously!

6. Leah’s favorite underwear
When you are a mom, you learn that comfort is the number one priority when it comes to under garments. A few months back, my best friend told me that she had started wearing these 100% cotton underwear she got from Amazon and she had never looked back. I was so excited to try them.
- I loved the fact that they are BLACK so they can go under anything.
- They are high waist and smoothing for the mid-section
- Other colors are offered.
- They wash well
- They keep you dry and they are breathable
- I wear them everyday and I got rid of all my other underwear!

5. VenusCelia Women’s Natural Comfort Walking Flat Loafer (Rachel)
Hands down, this shoe is my all time favorite. Super comfortable and a price tag of $20, what could be better? Seriously the only thing wrong with them is that they do not come in enough colors. (Only 30, on last count).
I currently have them in 5 colors, and if you’ve been following me on Facebook you’ve probably seen me post about how much I love these shoes over and over! You can see more photos and read the full story here.

4. Gold N Hot Professional Ionic Soft Bonnet Dryer (Leah)
My hair is REALLY thick! I mean, really, really THICK! So, when it comes to effectively drying my hair and not being under the ‘fryer’ for an entire day of my life, it really makes a difference for me.
This year I started wearing extensions as a break for my natural hair, in an effort for maintaining it through vigorous, weekly workouts. What does this mean? The majority of my hair, except the perimeter, is braided down. Tracks are sewn in. In between, I wash my hair and that means the braids have to be dried before the extensions are styled. This takes awhile when you’re a part of the ‘thick hair society’. A hooded dryer is very time consuming.
The solution?! I discovered that using a bonnet dryer, which encloses the circumference of the head, disallowing for air to escape, was the most effective product for me: and I’ve never looked back. What used to take three hours, now takes 30-45 minutes! I promise you! Give it a try and see if it makes your life easier too! Hey, we’re short on time and less is always more!

3. Rachel’s Milk Frothers
In mid-March, as we were sent home from the office due to the coronavirus pandemic, the first thing I did was order a milk frother. My thought was, well if I’m going to be home for 6-8 weeks I’m going to need to make my own lattes! And at a price of $40, I thought the Miroco Electric Steamer was well worth it!

It’s thin, a simple but pretty white design, and looks good on the counter. Easy to clean (I always check the reviews for that!), but it is not dishwasher safe. There are 4 functions, but it’s not temperature adjustable.
I use Fairlife Whole Milk which is ultra pasteurized and does not contain lactose, and it worked great. My recommendation for this is for someone who is usually only making one coffee at a time, or you don’t want to spend more than $40 on a milk frother. Big plus here is that it really is silent and takes no time to heat your milk.
Coffee is a big necessity for me in the morning, but it goes a lot better if I add milk to dilute the acid. After a dozen GI procedures and two major stomach surgeries, I probably should cut coffee out but my willpower just isn’t that strong!

By Memorial Day weekend, and understanding that we weren’t going back to the office anytime soon, I decided to upgrade my milk frother to the Breville Milk Cafe Milk Frother. There’s a few pros on this over the Miroco Electric Steamer. First of all, it’s even easier to clean because it’s dishwasher safe. My preference is always for something that can go in the dishwasher!
Another pro is that it’s easier to pour. You have more control over the temperature, and you can froth more milk. If you’re frothing for multiple coffees, this is more appealing. Also, it has a smaller lid on the top that you can open to pour the syrup (or anything) in slowly, but I’m too lazy to do this.
The cons for the Breville Milk Cafe is that it’s not silent (although not unreasonably loud) and it does take up more room on the counter. The design still fits in nicely, though. The other con, of course, is that it retails at $150.
I can honestly say that I am using both these days and I highly recommend both products.

2. Leah’s favorite leggings
Leggings. It’s an universal language that ALL women speak. They are flattering. They are comforting. They are so diverse and can be worn so many different ways. We all have features that we look for. For me, it’s pockets. They’re a MUST! If I can’t have a convenient place to pop my phone, it’s not a sale for me. Over the course of the years of being an avid leggings lover, I’ve developed a few favorite brands and styles, and these ones by CRZ YOGA are one of my absolute FAV for comfort and feel!

Why I Love Them:
- BUTTERY SMOOTH! I’m telling you, these leggings are like a second skin!
- The fabric is stretchy and very breathable and molds to the skin as you put them on
- Squat proof?! Yes they ARE!! I do HIIT multiple times a week, and these stay up and never slide. These are the TRUE test of quality when it comes to tights. They pass the test!
- They come in a variety of prints and colors! Gone are the days when I opted for solid colors: been there, done that! In this new chapter of life, I adore fun prints like the cheetah ones they offer!
- Size reference: I am 5’10, over 200 lbs and I wear a size LARGE, comfortably, so don’t size up. They are very forgiving.
So, here’s to our LOVE of LEGGINGS! You’ve gotta try these and tell me how you like them! I guarantee they’ll be a fav!
1. Rachel’s favorite leggings
I have tried numerous pairs of leggings over the last 18 months, and what I’ve found is that I prefer a high waist with pockets. Also, I’m more fond of leggings with a higher percentage of spandex (which actually surprised me). I’m looking for leggings that I put on and am comfortable in any activity (or lounging).
And if the leggings do not have pockets, they are not the leggings for me!
