Let’s get basic. I’m talking PSLs, scarves, boots, and pictures in a pumpkin patch. Don’t know what a PSL is? You’re not basic. And that’s basically okay! (Okay, okay, enough with the jokes).

It’s time to enjoy all the cliches and wonderful events that Autumn brings, basic or otherwise!

OCT 4-31  ~  2019 PARANORMAL GHOST TOURS @ POPLAR GROVE

New Moon, Full Moon and Tours on the hour: 7, 8 or 9pm. All Fridays & Saturdays in October at Poplar Grove Plantation.

OCT 24-26  ~  TRICK OR TREAT UNDER THE SEA @ FT FISHER AQUARIUM

Costumed scuba divers, candy, and aquarium decorations! It’s the perfect and safe way to enjoy Halloween and show off your kids costumes. Plus, there’s actually more to enjoy than just candy. Not free.

OCT 26-31  ~ HALLOWEEN HORSE DRAWN CARRIAGE GHOST TOURS

This is the kind of thing where you pretend to be scared, even if you aren’t, so you can snuggle in close with your main squeeze. Or grab some friends and make it a memory!  The horse drawn carriage rides in downtown Wilmington always have excellent narrators who make sure you have a fun time.

OCT 27  ~  BREWS & BROOMSTICKS FOOD TRUCK BASH @ POPLAR GROVE PLANTATION 

Join us on the front lawn for a few Brews & Broomsticks at this October Food Truck Bash on Sunday, October 27, from 3-8 pm. Admission is free, but donations are gladly accepted. 

This late afternoon event will feature Folkstone Stringband from 4-7 p.m., a Beer Garden, and plenty to do for the young and young-at-heart, including Costume Contests for kids, families, and adults, so get dressed up & be ready for treats, prizes, good food & a little spook-tacular fun, and don’t forget …

We didn’t call this the Brews & Broomsticks Food Truck Bash for nothing – trick out your brooms, witches! for the 1st inaugural BROOMSTICK CONTEST. Prizes awarded are the adult beverage kind…

And never fear, football fans!  We will be broadcasting your favorite Sunday football games, so bring your lawn chairs & blankets & sport your team colors with a frosty beverage in hand.
