2021 Easter Sunrise Service in Sneads Ferry

North Topsail Shores Baptist Church has hosted an Easter Sunrise Service on North Topsail Beach (NC), since the 1980’s. They began this service when their church was located on the island and invited the other churches of Sneads Ferry to join in, making it a non-denominational / multi-denominational Easter Service that everyone is welcome to join!

2021’s Easter Sunrise Service

An earlier version of this article stated that the location was to be held at North Topsail Shores Baptist Church, however Onslow County Parks and Recreation was able to secure a permit for the Easter Sunrise Service on North Topsail Beach. We are delighted here at RCI+Topsail!!

Location: Onslow County Beach Access #2 – 2950 Island Drive, North Topsail Beach, NC 28460

(For the Easter Sunrise Service in 2020, the owners of Ocean’s Edge restaurant graciously allowed the pastors of the churches in Sneads Ferry to gather at their venue in St. Regis. The service was live streamed and you could see the sun rise over the Atlantic.)

What to Expect

Bring a chair, blanket, coffee, and enjoy an outdoor service with music while the sun rises on Easter morning.

This will be a short service, approximately 30 minutes, beginning about06:30am. In the past they’ve had hymns led by Pastor Steve (New River Community Church of God) or Pastor Bill (Sneads Ferry Presbyterian Church). There have also been duets, solos and a mix of contemporary music.

The logistics, parking, marketing and sound are handled by volunteers and the staff of North Topsail Shores Baptist Church.

Many of these churches come together for other events, and also collaborate on the Sneads Ferry Food Bank as well as The Master’s Touch non-profit organization.
